The platform was on the south side of the line with a two storey station building. Ravensbourne was the one station along the five-mile loop to open with items sidings, but Bellingham was to acquire such services underneath the SE&CR. Eventually, Window Contractor Bellingham -facing sidings have been in evidence behind the ”down” platform. Indeed, a reversal manoeuvre into these gave access to an additional, southward-facing siding, in addition to a private connection with Robertson’s Jam Factory, on Bromley Road. The layout was managed by a Saxby & Farmer signal box (identical to that still in use at Sturry), positioned past the northern end of the ”down” platform.
